The IUCN red list considers the eastern blue tongue skink to be a least concern species.  

This animal can not visit your location for a presentation.

This animal is used for Wilbur’s Wildlife event displays. 

This animal is on show during private zoo tours.

Our Animals

 

Wilbur’s Wildlife is home to a 5 year old eastern blue tongue known as Freddy. Freddy was actually Cale’s first lizard and his first ever reptile. He spends his day’s hanging out in his enclosure which he shares with our bearded dragon and shingleback.

Quick Facts

 

The blue tongue lizard has the ability to lose its tail if it feels threatened. They can also show their bright blue tongue at potential predators in an attempt to scare them.
