Community Giving
Wilbur’s Wildlife receive a number of requests each year to provide donations of wildlife presentations either for community events or for silent auctions or raffles.
While Wilbur’s Wildlife would love to assist with every enquiry we receive unfortunately this is just not possible with Wilbur’s needing to cover the costs involved in running our presentations and keeping our animal’s happy and healthy.
In 2019 we have created a community giving program to give back to the community which supports us. Outlined below are some of the programs which will be on offer as part of this and the eligibility criteria for each.

Raffle, Silent Auction and Other Free Presentation Giveaways
Our most requested item is the donation of a free presentation for giveaway in silent auctions or raffles. Unfortunately in most cases this is unfeasible due to the costs in which we incur in completing this show. In 2019 we have introduced our new private tours and as such we have a low cost activity which we can give away. In the spirit of giving back to those who support us and keeping our program fair we have decided to make these tickets available only to schools, preschools, kindergartens etc. which have had a Wilbur’s Wildlife visit in 2019. The giveaway tickets will be valid for 2 people to attend a 1 hour private tour if the school has booked 1 or 2 visits. If the school books 3 or more visits we may consider a larger giveaway at the discretion of Wilbur’s Wildlife management.
Wilbur’s Wildlife Community Giving Program
Wilbur’s Wildlife enjoy giving back to our community where possible. In 2019 we are creating a new program which will see us regularly donate to animal related causes.
Our main commitment is that for each booking we will give $5 to an animal related charity. In 2019 we provided 180 presentations and we expect that we will provide around 250 in 2019. This should lead to roughly $1,000 in donations.
We will be selecting a new charity to support every 4 months with each charity receiving the money which we raise from presentations during this period.
Our first charity who will receive donations from January 2019 till April 2019 is Native Animal Network of South Australia.
Native Animal Network of South Australia rescue a range of kangaroos, wombats, koalas and possums from across South Australia providing the care these orphaned joeys need to survive and thrive with the hope they can return to the wild.
Most of this work is done through the work of volunteers who fund their own rescues. Our funds will help to fund some of the milk, pouches and other essentials which these animals need to thrive.
We always have a great time hanging out with some baby kangaroos and possums at the Native Animal Network stand at the Adelaide Animal Expo. You can come and visit them and Wilbur’s Wildlife once again this year on the 5th and 6th of April.
Would you like your charity to be considered for the program?
While the three initial charities for this program in 2019 have been selected we will be looking for wildlife related charity partners in 2020. If you think this program could benefit your charity please visit our contact us page and send us a summary of your wildlife related charity, the work you do and how this funding could benefit you and we will consider it.

Free Visits for Community Groups
Wilbur’s Wildlife are always happy to give back to those less fortunate in our community. As part of this we are often requested to attend an event for charities which would ordinarily not be able to afford our services.
We are always happy to receive requests from charities to provide these services. These are assessed on a case by case basis with priority given to those which could not ordinarily afford them. We also do have a requirement that when we provide a free show they are only available to registered charities.
To submit a request for a free show please visit our contact page and submit an e-mail using the form including the details on when you would like the show, the name of your charity and the number of participants expected.
