Discovery Centre

Wilbur's Wildlife Discovery Centre is the ultimate school holiday activity. Conveniently located within District Outlet Centre at Parafield Airport.

Enjoy a 30-minute animal encounter and then play by pretending you're a vet and zookeeper or putting your way through our mini golf course.

Bookings are essential for this experience, which operates during the school holidays.

I booked a 9:30am session today for my son, niece’s and nephew just before the school holidays after seeing it advertised on Myers Instagram, and it exceeded every expectation.

From the moment we arrived, Gordon and Sophie made us feel so welcome. It was a quieter morning, so they were incredibly accommodating and encouraged the kids to explore everything at their own pace. There were so many fantastic hands-on activities, including a sandpit, fruit-cutting play, a vet station, animal-themed play areas and even a mini golf section. The children were completely engaged from the start.

After about 30–45 minutes of play, Gordon took us through an animal encounter, and it was truly the highlight of our visit. He was absolutely incredible with the children, so patient, kind and engaging. He took the time to explain all about each animal, and let them gently interact with them. You could see how passionate he is about what he does.

What made the experience even more special was hearing the story behind the business and how it all came about. It added such a personal touch and made the whole experience feel really genuine.

Sometimes you’re not quite sure what to expect from pop-up holiday activities, but this was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had. The kids had an amazing time, and the adults did too!

A huge thank you to Gordon and Sophie for making our morning so memorable. I would absolutely recommend Wilbur’s to anyone with young children, whether you’re visiting one of their pop-up events or booking them for a birthday party. We can’t wait to come back!

It was great because it catered to various age levels as we had siblings attend as well. Needless to say parents loved being involved. The team showed love and care for the animals and what they do. Allowing them to all have turns being interactive with the animals and sharing age appropriate interesting facts and asking questions to keep the excited audience engaged.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Zara from Wilbur’s Wildlife attend our twins 4th birthday. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and the animals. Everything was simple to book and communication was great!
She was great with the kids and kept them all interested, which is not easy 😂 Even the shy ones.
The animals were awesome and really well looked after, and Zara made sure everyone got a turn and felt included.
